Organic Basmati Rice Paddy is procured from Rajvanshi Organic Farm, Uttrakhand in the foothills of the Himalayas and processed at Goodness Farm’s milling unit in Cheyyar.
This basmati rice is minimally processed, retaining approximately 80% of its bran layer, unlike conventionally polished varieties.
The high amylose content contributes to its distinct textural properties, resulting in long, slender grains that remain separate and exhibit a characteristic puffed appearance upon cooking.
Additionally, the starch composition, characterized by a higher proportion of resistant starch and a slower digestion rate, contributes to its lower glycemic index (GI), making it a favorable choice for sustained energy release and better glycemic control.
