Processing of Sprout-Activated Millet at Goodness Farm (patented): Product produced and processed according to NPOP standard of India and EC regulation no. 834/2007

Cleaning and Soaking:

1. Thorough Cleaning:
   • Begin the processing by thoroughly cleaning millet grains to remove any impurities, ensuring a clean and safe product.
2. Washing:
   • Wash the cleaned millet grains to eliminate dust and contaminants, promoting hygiene and quality.
3. Soaking with Lime Juice or Papain:
   • Soak the cleaned millet in water, incorporating lime juice or papain from raw papaya during soaking. This step helps reduce antinutrients, enhancing the nutritional quality of the millet.
4. Rinsing, Dehusking, and Second Soak:
   • Rinse the soaked millet thoroughly to remove any residual substances. Dehusk the millet to prepare it for the germination process. Subsequently, soak the dehusked millet again, initiating the germination phase.

Draining and Sprouting:

5. Draining:
   • After the second soak, drain the millet to remove excess water and prepare it for the sprouting process.
6. Sprouting in a Controlled Environment:
   • Allow the drained millet to sprout in a controlled environment that is warm and moist. This environment facilitates the development of tiny sprouts, enriching the millet with beneficial nutrients. As soon as the sprout emerges, the process is halted and dried.

Drying:

7. Achieving Desired Sprouting Level:
   • Monitor and achieve the desired level of sprouting before proceeding to the drying phase. This ensures the millet has undergone sufficient sprouting, unlocking its nutritional potential.
8. Low-Temperature Drying:
   • Dry the sprouted millet at low temperatures. This drying process halts further sprouting while preserving the nutritional content of the millet.
