Meet Thooyamalli, a native and indigenous rice variety, aptly named after the jasmine flower in Tamil. The rice panicle (kadhir) of Thooyamalli blossoms in a whitish hue, distinguishing it from other rice varieties that lean towards golden tones. The grains, resembling the purity of jasmine flowers, complete the visual poetry of this unique rice variety. This rice was cultivated organically in Cheyyaar and harvested on February 2022. We have consciously parboiled and aged the rice.
