The Indian palate in most regions is incomplete without thoor dal. And rightly so! The lip-smacking delicacies prepared using this particular variety of pulses goes well with rice as well as chapatis. Aside from its signature taste, the high nutritional and protein content in thoor dal makes it an unmissable diet constituent of the Indian populous.

A part of the legume family that includes peas, beans, and lentils. It is also known as ‘pigeon peas’. It is an oval, yellow pulse that is widely used in Indian households as a staple food item. Usually the Split thoor dal is consumed widely as it cooks faster, since many of our patrons requested for whole thoor dal, now we have put the whole (unpolished) thoor dal for sale.

This thoor dal was intercropped with masoor dal and soya bean crops at our Cheyyaar farm, Thiruvanamalai district, Tamilandu.

Harvested in the last week of December, 2022 and was sun-dried and aged for almost 2 months now.

Organic certified and lab tested for its’ nutritional profile.
